- Chuck,
-
- Here are some pretty vague "ideas". You could spend a whole day checking them
- out, but you did ask...
- 1) Does your supervisor's problems also occur with a Rodime Cobra disk?
- 2) Do you get the same problem if you attach the Rodime to your IIx?
- 3) What if the Rodime is attached but NOT the boot disk?
- 4) Does your app open any preferences or temp files? If so, what state are they
- in after the first time you run it?
- 5) Do you open any drivers from within your app? I remember that you are using
- some board with a DSP/sound chip. Perhaps those drivers are interfering with
- Rodime's disk driver?
- 6) After the first successful run, have you tried using ResEdit 2.0ßwhatever's
- "Verify Resource File" command? It will work even if the app is open.
- 7) How about this: first run your app, then run one of the other programs that
- appear to have the same problem, and see if it acts as though it is being run
- for the second time.
-
- I'm not sure what these last two will tell you, but they sound useful.
-
- If the problem is tied to the Rodime disk, then I'd guess a driver bug, since I
- think the Cobra series is fairly new, and so the driver might also be new.
- Maybe you could format the Rodime with someone else's drivers? (<= No warranty,
- express or implied!)
